Catch of the Day - BagTheWeb - 9/7/2010

Earlier this year, BagTheWeb launched as a website that enables users to curate Web content. You can easily create a "bag" for any topic to collect, publish, and share related Web content.

BagTheWeb features a Web curation tool called a "bag." With bags, users can collect, publish, and share curated Web content in a simple way. To create a new "bag" simply write a title and a description. Then put links into the bag any time. Rich media such as videos from YouTube and Vimeo, photos from Flickr, and Slideshare presentations can be added to a bag. Bags can be embedded into your own blog, wiki, or website.

BagTheWeb is a social network as well. You can follow people who have or recommend interesting bags.

On the Tools page, you can get bookmarklets for your browser  or iOS device to make "bagging" content quick and easy.

  1. Have you used this with students? Looks like it would be a good way to "bag" lessons and unit resources in one place for them.
