The main categories include Animals, The Arts, History & Biography, Literature & Languages, Mathematics & Computers, Sciences, Social Sciences, and Reference Desk.


The ALSC Great Web Sites Committee, consisting of nine members from around country, administers and evaluates ALA's Great Sites within the criteria and procedures established for selection.
