Formula Sheet

Store all your formulas in one place with FormulaSheet. All your formulas will be accessible from anywhere you can connect to the Internet.

Formula Sheet 1

Using FormulaSheet, formulas can be organized into lists, or combined with text and diagrams to create sheets.

With FormulaSheet, you can:

  • Search Wikipedia and/or FormulaSheet for the formulas you need. Instantly get an image or copy the formula to LaTeX or MS Word.
  • Upload your own formula as a LaTeX file. FormulaSheet will find and extract all of your formulas.
  • Create formulas from scratch using an intuitive equation editor.
  • Share formula lists and sheets with other users.
  • Render your formula, list, or sheet as a pdf document, as a tex file, or as a png image.

Formula Sheet 2

The new Calculator feature lets you solve selected formulas right on FormulaSheet. Enter the variables that you know, and the calculator will solve for the one that you are trying to find. Any constants used by the formula are provided.

FormulaSheet is a free web app, but voluntary donations are welcomed.

Featured: 6-5-2013 The AnswerPad

The Answer Pad

The Answer Pad is a browser-based student response system with two main components: Go Interactive and The Answer Sheets, and the option to use mobile devices.

The Answer Pad 1

Go Interactive engages and connects with students in the classroom for formative assessment that can be used to drive instruction.

Go Interactive provides seven different ways to take a snapshot of student understanding in the classroom. The Draw feature allows students to draw their answer or annotate on a customizable template such as an axis or graph paper. Teachers can upload their own custom graphics, too.  Having just been released in May 2013, Go Interactive Template Gallery offers a collection of different backgrounds that can be sent out to the students.

The Answer Pad 2

The Answer Sheets let teachers set up an online electronic answer sheet for paper tests using any of the eight different question types. The Answer Pad scores the tests and quizzes for you.  Students can also use a scratch pad to show their work. You can then view the scratch pad

The Answer Pad offers reports by skill, by class, and by student using a built-in, robust reporting system for item analysis. School and district implementations are available for aggregate reporting.

TAPit

The Answer Pad is browser-based for teachers. Students may use a free iPad app, TAPit Free, or a browser. Teachers wishing to use the TAPit Free app with students must register for free.

Watch an overview of The AnswerPad

The Answer Pad is free for one teacher to use in one class of up to 36 students. For multiple classes, more students, and other features, you must upgrade to AnswerPad+ ($10 annually per teacher).

Featured: 6-4-2013 TeachersPayTeachers

TeachersPayTeachers is an open online marketplace where teachers buy and sell original downloadable educational materials, hard goods, and used educational resources.

TeachersPayTeachers's mission is to "empower teachers by bringing together those who create curricula with those who are seeking fresh new approaches in the classroom."

TeachersPayTeachers top resource types include printables, activities, worksheets, clip art, lesson plans, literacy center ideas, math centers, white board activities, powerpoint, and fun stuff.

You can sell original curricular materials such as lesson plans, unit plans, examinations, teaching guides, worksheets, etc. Upload your original files to the TeachersPayTeachers catalog, in one of the supported filetypes, and then set your own prices. TeachersPayTeachers takes care of the sales transactions and delivers instant downloads to buyers.

You can sell hard goods, too, both teacher-created and used educational materials. Selling a hard good works similarly except that you upload photos of the items instead of product files. You are responsible for shipping to the buyer after receiving an email with the buyer's shipping address. The cost of shipping will be reimbursed to you.

Basic Membership is free and offers a 60% royalty on gross sales less transaction fees. Premium Membership costs $59.95(USD) annually but offers an 85% royalty on gross sales and no transaction fees.

Joining TeachersPayTeachers as a buyer or seller or both can make your teaching career even more gratifying.
