Catch of the Day - Google News Archive Search - 5 Aug 09

Today's featured catch is the Google News Archive Search.
The Google News Archive Search provides an easy way to search and explore historical archives. In addition to helping you search, Google News Archive Search can automatically create timelines which show selected results from relevant time periods.

Search results include content from a number of sources, including both content digitized by Google and online archival materials that they've crawled. Related articles within a given time period are grouped together to allow users to get a broader perspective on the topics they are searching.

You can increase the precision and usefulness of your searches on Google News Archive Search by adding "operators" that fine-tune your search terms: Date Restrict, Source Restrict, Price Restrict, and Additional Operators

Search results may include content that requires a fee as well as content that is freely available.
