Catch of the Day - Magic Studio™ - 10 Mar 10

Today's featured catch is the truly delicious Magic Studio

Teachers and learners can use Magic Studio™ to find, customize, create, and share great learning resources.

Magic Studio™ Home Page

Magic has been developed in conjunction with museums, publishers, teachers, and students to provide an easy to use and highly engaging approach to visual, web-based learning.

The Magic Content Exchange combines content and resources from museums, archives, and publishers with resources built and shared by other teachers in the Magic community. The Magic Content Exchange can be readily and easily searched. There’s lots of free resources and if they do carry a fee, you only pay for what you use.

Example Drag 'n' Drop Activity

Magic Studio™ provides a number of easy to use web-based interactive tools with which you can customize existing resources or build new resources. Use audio, video, and pictures from the Content Exchange or your own personal stuff from Flickr, You Tube, Picasa, or your own computer.

Example Image Explorer Activity

Magic encourages teachers to share resources. You can control how and by whom you want your resources to be used in the Magic Network. You can form interest groups and work with other teachers to develop resources and exchange ideas.

Quiz Editor

Teachers can upload existing resources in a wide variety of formats to use or share or apply the tools in Magic Studio™ to create new interactives quickly.
