Real World Math is a resource offering free math lessons and activities for grades 4-10. The unique feature of these lessons is they are presented on the virtual globe of Google Earth.

RealWorldMath.org is designed to help math educators extend the math concepts beyond the pages of the textbook. Google Earth is used to accomplish this by providing extremely clear interactive 3D satellite views of Earth. Users of Google Earth can add placemarks, annotations, photos, and models, and measure distances and draw paths.

RealWorldMath.org lessons incorporate higher level thinking skills, such as analysis, synthesis, and creativity as well as technology skills and social learning. Though the focus of this site is math, many lessons can be applied in other subjects.
