The free DIY Nano app for iPad allows anyone to experience and learn about nanoscale science, engineering, and technology anywhere.
 
DIY Nano 1

DIY Nano provides free, easy-to-use, hands-on activities, each of which includes material lists, step-by-step instructions, and detailed explanations. The activity materials are generally inexpensive and easily obtainable. Many of them are probably already in your own home.
 
Included are links to family friendly videos and help to browse the whatisnano.org website for more information, activities, and videos.

The DIY Nano app is a collaboration of Lawrence Hall of Science,  Sciencenter,  Emily Maletz Graphic Design, and NISE Net, a national collaboration of science museums, with funding by the National Science Foundation.
 
The DIY Nano app is compatible with iPads running iOS 5.1 or later.
