Featured: 5-9-2013 Trading Cards [English]

ReadWriteThink’s Trading Cards is a free iPad app that allows kids a way to share their understanding of various topics, to build study aids for school, or to create their own fictional world of characters.

Create Trading Cards for any number of categories, such as fictional person, real person, fictional place, real place, object, event, or vocabulary word.

Create dynamic, information-rich trading cards by responding to specific guiding questions for each category. The use of summarizing skills is critical as students must choose the most important information to fit on the card. Because they can share their cards with others, they must also develop the capability of writing for an audience.

Trading Cards can be sorted into collections. Kids can build a collection of cards for any topic, characters from their favorite book, landmarks in their favorite city, events from a period in history. In so doing, they find interesting vocabulary words.

Trading Cards features:

  • Multi-user card storage.

  • Management of users with deleting and restoring.

  • Seven card categories, each with a targeted set of guiding questions.

  • Add and edit an image from your device’s camera or photo library.

  • Twelve card designs for styling cards.

  • Ability to create collections of cards.

  • Auto-saving of cards.

  • Viewing of finished card for proofreading.

  • Save cards to images.

  • Print cards on a wireless printer.

  • Share cards by e-mail.

Trading Cards is an educational app for all ages designed to add creativity and fun to the learning process.  ReadWriteThink offers a library of lessons that incorporate Trading Cards.
